Celebrate the start of the holiday season at our Downtown Sonora Lighting Ceremony! Join us as we light up St. James Episcopal Church (the iconic Red Church), Christmas Tree Lane in Courthouse Park, and the charming, festively decorated shops along Washington Street.
🎤 Special Guests! We’re honored to welcome David Goldemberg, Tuolumne County District 1 Supervisor, and Ann Segerstrom, Mayor of Sonora, who will each give a short speech to kick off the evening’s festivities.
🎭 Special Performances! Sierra Repertory Theatre will delight us with a holiday performance, and Mountain Youth and Community Theatre will lead a joyful Christmas Sing-Along for all ages.
🙏 Community Blessing by Karen Matthews, the new priest-in-charge at St. James Episcopal Church, will set the tone for a season of warmth, peace, and joy.
